President's Message

Kim Belgarde
FEA President

Hello, All! I am Kim Belgarde, your new FEA president.

I have been teaching in the Fargo Public School District for the past 14 years. I started my career at Madison Elementary teaching in both fifth & sixth grade classrooms. In 2004, I moved to Bennett Elementary and have had the opportunity to teach fourth and fifth grades. During my teaching tenure, I have coached for over fifteen years, have been a member of the Language Arts committee for four years & Social Studies for two years respectively, and have written curriculum during the summer. I have also been afforded the opportunity to be a “pilot teacher” in the areas of math, language arts, science, and social studies.

Outside of FPS, I am an active member of Valley Reading Council having been a board member for four years. I have been a member of Delta Kappa Gamma for three years. Currently, I am a representative on the COCA-I board, a Lions' member, and camp director for Camp KACE.

On a personal note, I have been married for thirteen years. I have two sons, a second grader and a sixth grader, as well as a ninth-grade step-daughter. We have resided in Horace for nine years.

As a product of the Fargo Public School system, a graduate of South High, and peer/colleague to all, I am proud to be able to represent each & every one of you as your new FEA President.

Respectfully,

Kim B.
